Well, by now you will know that I love my food and drink, and even more so when they are in a market or festival setting!
So you can imagine that Salford Food and Drink Festival is right up my street!
Its all happening on Saturday 4th October 2008 at The Salford Civic Centre in Swinton at 10am with the Festivals Food Fayre. Join Celebrity chefs Andrew Nutter and Brian Mellor for cookery theatre where they will be giving demonstrations. There are taster sessions, childrens activties and an attempt to to create the worlds largest Eccles cake!!!!
Not forgetting Salford Festival Ale of course, as not festival would be complete without some kind of special ale!
To celebrate the year of the Potato, there will a best dressed spud competition for 2-10 year olds!!
The Festival's finale takes place as the Eccles Town Centre Fete on 11th October where there will be plenty more to do!
It sounds like a really fun day out for all of the family!!
