Well, as the autumn is upon us and half term is getting nearer, I thought it would be a good idea to give you a few ideas of what is going on a little further afield, perfect for a day out for the family on a dull horrible day!
There are so many events going on in Salford, I’ve narrowed them down to a select few that I think could be really good fun.
First up is the Marie Curie Zipwire event at Salford Quays on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October. If you like to think of yourself as a bit of a daredevil and are up for a challenge then this is for you! A Zipwire has been specially erected between The Quays and the Lowry Plaza. Fly across from the top of The Imperial War Museum North and land on the roof of the Lowry Plaza! There is a fee of £10.00 per person, but it’s for a good cause, it’s hoping to raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Something fun for the kids now!
In the spirit of Halloween on Friday 31st October there will be a “Witches Walk” in Blackleach Country Park, Walkden. You can join hundreds of others on a walk through the country park encountering all sorts of spooky surprises along the way, before a finale of fireworks once you’ve reached the end. The Walk is suitable for all of the family including young Children. The walk is happening between 6pm * 7pm and is absolutely free!
If you are planning to take the kids on the walk, you can also take them down to Blackleach Country Park on Thursday 30th October where they can carve their own pumpkins for the walk on Friday! This goes on between 10am * 12pm.
Coming Soon........Keep an eye out for more details on the Salford Film Festival taking place between 15th * 23rd November*
